About Us

Our Story

Surreal Mag is a promotional magazine based out of Ansbach Germany . We are predominantly centered on Beauty and Fashion.Founded by Kathy Richards in September 2013, our goal is to promote not only well known Photography and Models but ones just starting out. Surreal was created to bring such talented individuals together in one forum where they can collaborate and initiate some of their best creative works. Along with a quickly growing and talented team (see the link below). Surreal Mag has steadily risen to be a strong promoter of Photography , Fashion and Modeling.
We showcase Avant Garde Fashion and Beauty Editorials as well as Outstanding Artists of all types.

We accept submissions from emerging photographers and their creative teams, artists, musicians/bands, bloggers/creative writers, filmmakers, and fashion designers/ brands.

Our Platform

Surreal Mag accepts submissions through KAVYAR, a revolutionary social network for creatives of all types. Everyone from models to behind the scenes team members, such as designers and stylists. KAVYAR has a platform which allows magazine editors to promote their publications, announce when they're accepting submissions, and to collect submissions while being able to stay in touch with contributors about submission problems, as well as the acceptance and rejection of content.

What you Get

Unlike a lot of magazines out there, we publish up to 5 Issues per month. This is due to the overwhelming responses we get when we post for an Issue. We are International in over 20 Countries. With each Issue, you will have the choice of a hard copy, print on demand issue or a digital issue.  You can find us on Facebook, Instagram and Kavyar.

Meet the Team

Kathy Richards

Ceo. Founder, Editor in Chief

I am a Proud Army Wife and Mother to 2 amazing grown daughters. Publishing wasn't in my plans at first but after having modeled for a few years starting back in 2011 at the age of 40, I decided to quit that part of the Industry an publish those who wanted to be published and get their names out there instead. I have loved each and every minute of it.

Four years later

and 400 magazine Issues published, I am still going strong. I have proven that a woman CAN be successful and accomplish whatever she wants.  At almost 45 years of age, I can honestly say it's been a fun ride!
